Lets See How Internet TV Programs Actually Work

The program is very simple to use, you can see there are several options along the top.

BUTTONS EXPLAINED

Play
This is used to simply start playing any of the channels you select to start streaming.

Switch TV
1st Function: This is basically the same as a remote.  Selecting this brings you to the channel browsing option. To browse channels you first select which countries you want to search in.  The amount of countries to choose from is huge.  We started playing around streaming TV from different countries just to see the sort of shows they like to watch and it was admittedly a lot of fun.

2nd Function: After you select a country the side bar populates with thousands of different channel names that you can simply click on to start watching.  The list is in alphabetical order so finding the channel you want can be done by just scrolling down or using the search function.

Switch Radio
Aside from just streaming channels you can also select a variety of radio stations to listen to and this works the same as switch tv.  The software will generate a full list of radio stations in all genres that you can listen to anytime.

Favorites
This is where you keep all of your favorite channels for easy access and also new ones you find interesting. We really liked this feature because what we found is we enjoyed so many channels from different countries that it was much easier to keep the channel in the favorite list rather than switching countries and searching.
Full Screen
This option displays the web TV stream at full resolution.   This option is really nice if you want to set the internet stream to go right to your main HDTV.  We currently have an article almost finished discussing how to set this up.

Update
This is used to get up to date support from the software developers.  All of these updates are free of cost and only take a few seconds to apply.  Updates to expect will mostly include additional channel listings.

Search
You will find this to be a very useful tool in this software.  Having a list of over 3,500 channels can be a hassle for finding a specific channel you want.  To find any channel you type it into the search bar and it brings back the total number of channels that relate to the word you just searched for. The image below is an example of a search for the Discovery channel.  Two channels were found which can be seen in the next image.

The image below is the example of our search for the Discovery channel.  You can see 2 results have been found which means this Internet TV Software has 2 channels with the word discovery in them.  When you look at the list the channels you searched for will be fully highlighted making them easy to find and start watching.  As you can see from the two channels found the other channel was the same just in a different language (spanish in this case).

To make sure the software is actually streaming live web TV on the internet we have went through tons of random channels and everyone we have tried has worked.  Below is an example of what happens when you click on a channel.

Just another search, this time related to sports.  Very fast searching was a plus and it is very easy to find any channels.  Below is an image showing a popular sports channel.

Overall we were actually very surprised with Satellite Direct.  Internet TV Programs come in both good and bad packages and this software developer did a very good job integrating the huge selection of channels to choose from with a great emphasis pointed towards ease of use.
